Established in 1967 by the American Health Care Association (AHCA), National Skilled Nursing Care Week, formerly known as National Nursing Home Week, is a tradition celebrated the week beginning with Mother’s Day. The week provides an opportunity to recognize the role of skilled nursing care facilities in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. The 2019 National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) theme is “Live Soulfully.”
Jefferson Park at Dandridge is excited for this year’s NSNCW and will hold several events for both our elders and our staff. The week will kick off with a Mother’s Day brunch followed by some bingo fun on Sunday, May 12th.
Throughout the week, we there will be several events, such as fundraising events, elder vs. staff games, and other social activities. One of the spotlights of our week will be Jefferson Park’s 50th Anniversary celebration! We will celebrate by having a community get together with food, giveaways, massages, blood sugar checks, and live music.
Jefferson Park is so thankful to be serving Jefferson County, Tennessee, and our surrounding areas as a community of compassionate care since 1969. Our week of festivities will end on Saturday, May 18th by reminiscing on the past 50 years.
