Jefferson Park at Dandridge is happy to announce our April employee of the month as Darlene Myers. Darlene works in the housekeeping/laundry division of Jefferson Park and has been with us for almost 6 years. She is a hard worker and loved by all the staff.
Before starting her career with us here in Dandridge, TN, Darlene worked for a hotel in Gatlinburg, TN for 24 years as a housekeeper. As a Jefferson Park team member, she enjoys getting to interact with the residents. Whether it’s just chatting or getting to help a resident out, Darlene says it helps her feel a sense of purpose in the community. She loves the people she works with, and in the time we sat down to chat with Darlene about her life no less than 10 other employees walked by and mentioned how amazing she is. We can’t say we disagree! She was both shocked and honored when she learned she was April employee of the month because she knows there are many employees deserving of the award. No matter the job given to her, Darlene will do anything you ask of her.
Darlene grew up in and is still a resident of Cocke County. She has two children, a 30-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son. She also has two grandchildren and is fortunate enough to have her family nearby. In her free time, Darlene can be found in the kitchen whipping up some delicious food. Her family are big fans of her biscuits and gravy and fried chicken. Darlene loves to take her grandchildren on picnics to the park and swimming. Their favorite place to picnic and play is at the dam, so they can watch the boats go by.
